Desnoyers, Auguste B. Marie Louise. Beautifully hand-tinted engraving, c. 1810-1811, of Marie Louise, Archduchess of Austria, Empress of France, and Queen of Italy. Note in French says that it was painted in miniature in Vienna by Guérard. In 1810, Napoleon divorced his beloved wife Josephine, to marry the young Marie Louise (daughter of Francis I of Austria), in order to sire an heir. This lovely 8½ x 5¼ in. engraving is matted in an antique frame. Overall size is 12½ x 8½ in. Light overall toning, else Very Fine.
