Calabria. Tarentum, c. 480-470 BC. AR Nomos (7.39 g). Rare this nice. Dolphin right, with rider holding cuttlefish; ethnic below; cable and pellet border. Reverse: Hippocamp right, shell below; incuse hatched border. Vlasto 99 (same dies); cf. Dewing 126. Some porosity to reverse, but obverse choice, with excellent late archaic image. Attractive light toning. Choice Very Fine / Very Fine. Estimated Value $600 - 900
