Lot 2161

1913. PCGS graded Proof 65. Toned in unusual gold, blue, and olive earth tones, almost like the opalescent iridescence we see on some of the ancient Roman glassware that we occasionally offer. The centers are lighter (the reverse could be called near-white) and the overall effect is quite pleasing. As expected, the quality is very high and most collectors would be thrilled to own this attractive piece. Here's how the PCGS Population Report falls out at the high end: 26 at this level, 29 in Proof-66, 8 in Proof-67, and 3 in Proof-68 (PCGS # 5699) Estimated Value $1,200 - 1,500

Realized $1,553
