Lot 990

1915-S Panama-Pacific Gold Dollar. NGC graded MS-65. A gem for the collector who demands orange-gold colors and intense mint luster. Very nicely struck for the issue. This was the smallest of the gold coins sold at the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition, available either singly or as part of sets. The front of the coin depicts a worker, presumably one of the men who built the Panama Canal, one of the great engineering feats of the 20th century.
Estimated Value $1,750 - 1,950.
