Ancient Rome. Large Lot of Late Empire and Byzantine Coins, c. 364-1150 AD. Various Denomination AE's. Ideal for young collectors or E-bay vendors. A continuation of the previous collection. Starting with Valentinian I, and including most of the significant rulers up to at least 1143 AD. Worth a good look, as most pieces have been cleaned and are presentable -- a number with some eye appeal, including a couple of decent anonymous 11th century folles bearing a portrait of Christ. There are a handful of untattributed scyphate bronzes, otherwise all are identified. Some interesting-looking material, perhaps a rarity can be chanced upon. Lot of at least 175 coins. Coins average Fine to Very Fine, a number less, some better.
