Typed Letter Signed One page, Quarto, On offical imprinted stationery. March 27, 1949. To Moshe Sharit (Foreign Minister). In Hebrew. Translated as follows:

"When we met the first time in London, I was a diplomat to the British Government and a Russian Zionist. Now I am nominated as President of Israel--The country has been waiting a long time for freedom, and there is a lot to do. I'm not asking myself how to do it, but only what to do--I believe this Second Jewish Nation is prepared in the spiritual sense and the mundane sense to fulfill this opportunity.--Therefore it is a pity to waste this historic moment".

Fine.
