Gem 1899 Philadelphia Double Eagle. NGC graded MS-65. Scarce in true gem condition this 1899 is one of just 37 graded by NGC this high, with only 1 coin graded higher. Vibrant mint luster in the fields dances when examined under a light. Examination fails to find more than a couple of tiny tick marks scattered over the coin. Hints of coppery-gold toning are noted on Liberty. Date collectors could scarcely hope to find a better coin for their sets.
