Lot 1195
1885. Large white medal of U. S. Grant 62.5 mm. This medal has a regal portrait of Grant on the obverse, with "Soldier, President, Citizen" and other statements and was engraved by Morgan, probably George T. Morgan from the Philadelphia Mint. The reverse shows Grant mounted on his horse with various Civil War battle elements behind him. Some handling marks, but still quite impressive. Very Fine.
