Caracalla and Geta. AE 40 mm., of Mylasa, Caria, struck c. 201-207 AD. Rare. Confronted busts of Caracalla, laureate, draped and cuirassed, and Geta, draped and cuirassed. Reverse: Figures of Zeus Osogoa, holding eagle and trident(?), and Zeus Labraundos, holding labrys and scepter, their heads confronted; ethnic above and below. BMC p. 133, 37 var.; SNG von Aulock --; SNG Cop. --. Light smoothing to the obverse. Appealing variegated patina in various greens, brown, and red, with interesting provincial portraits. Choice Very Fine.
