Ancient Greece. Lot of Four Silver Fractionals, c. 520-317 BC. Nice fractionals. Earliest is, Ionia, Teos, c. 520-478 BC., Tetartemorion: Griffin head right / Quadripartite incuse (Rosen ACNAC 5, nos. 603, 604). Plus two hemiobols from the Rosen Collection: Ionia, Samos, c. 440-380 BC.: Bull forepart, three quarters left / Two confronted bull foreparts; and Mysia, Cyzicus, c. 480-400 BC.: Forepart of boar left / Roaring lionhead left (BMC p. 35, 120). Last, a drachm of Macedon, Philip III, 323-317 BC: Head of Herakles right, in lionskin / Zeus enthroned left, tripod at left, star beneath throne. Cyzicus metal lightly granular, rest slight to no porosity. All with pleasant toning. Coins average Very Fine, plus or minus.
