Ancient Greece. Lot of Three Silver Fractionals, c. 550-300 BC. Nice lot. Best is Athens, c. 431-429 BC., Trihemiobol: Athena head right / Owl and olive leaf (Svor. 21:43). Also, Ionia, Phokaea, c. 525-500 BC., Trihemiobol: charming Archaic female head left / Quadripartite incuse (cf. Bod. pl. 3, no. 31). Psidia, Selge, Trihemiobol: Gorgoneion facing / Helmeted head of Athena right (off center), SGC 5473 var. Last, a drachm of Kalchedon, Bithynia, 390-365 BC: Bull left on grain ear / "Mill sail" incuse (BMC p. 124, 4-7). Phokaea metal lightly granular, rest slight to no porosity. All with pleasant toning. Lot of 4 coins. Coins average Very Fine, one or two better or less.
