1884-S Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded AU-53. A coin that barely circulated as it retains almost all of the original mint luster and is now ringed with a light splash of gold at the periphery. Sharp, and about as nice as this date is ever found, as virtually the entire mintage entered circulation at least for a time. PCGS has graded a total of 164 in various mint state grades of this date, compared with many bags of mint state grades of most other dates.
