1913 Buffalo Nickel. Type 1. NGC graded Proof 66. A single year type coin that was struck in very limited quantities (1,520). Many of these were mishandled or even spent soon after issue. To locate a gem is a challenge, and to find one this nice quite difficult. NGC has graded only 79 this high, with 20 graded higher, all PF-67. The surfaces are free of spots or other marks, and the strike is quite sharp, as expected. No signs of toning on this example.
