Lot 666

1944 Mercury Dime. MS-64 Split Bands. Gorgeous old tawny toning on both sides and fully struck. No sign of reeding on the edge. There is just enough of the mintmark area to be pretty certain that this is a Philadelphia coin. No handling or ejection marks which often mar these, keeping the surfaces in excellent condition.
Estimated Value $75 - 100.
From the Benson collection and purchased from Ira S. Reed on April 27, 1945 for 50¢.

Realized $322
