1866-S Liberty Seated Half Dime. AU-55. Deep orange gold in color with blue arcs of color near the rims, with darker specks on either side. The color is certainly unusual, even for a Benson coin. One faint scratch below the mintmark. As to the strike, it is sharp in areas, weak in others, as the dies may not have quite been aligned when this one was coined.
