Lot 26

1804 C-1 R3 NGC graded AU50. Frosty dark olive brown and steel with lighter steel brown and tan in protected areas. The surfaces are smooth and the only marks are some tiny nicks and a few short scratches in the field behind the portrait. Three parallel light scratches off the lower end of the hair ribbon are the only marks that catch your eye. M-LDS, Manley state 2.0 early. The arcing die crack on the reverse is strong and the area to the right of the crack near ES in STATES is slightly raised. Our grade is EF40, at the lower end of the condition census. Another very nice example of this tough die variety, just a slightly later die state than the previous lot. Estimated Value $1,750 - UP
Ex Stack's Bowers-Raymond Gatzke Collection.

Realized $1,800
