Very Fine Jewish Amulet in Silver. Asia Minor, c. 1900. In "Oriental" lands, this amulet of traditional style was lovingly crafted. Within rectangular and circular borders, the central Mogen David has hatched fields in each arm of the star, and is surrounded by six swimming fish. Two nesting birds are in the corners below, with repeated words in the corners above. The edges bordering the piece lined with inscriptions in textured fields. Two suspension loops at top. Amulet toned, and finely preserved. Size: 3-1/2 x 2-3/8". A truly charming example of ethnic Judaica.
