A scarce poster for one of the great French classics. Maria Falconetti gave a legendary performance, seeming to glow from within while projecting all the confusion and ultimate faith young Joan must have felt. The recent restoration and re-release of this film has broadened its audience beyond the walls of film schools and its fame is justifiably back on the rise.
Museum mounted under UV-3 plastic with barrier boards and Chartex, muslin or linen backing. A-.
