Apollo 8: Dick Underwood Apollo Lunar Orbit Chart Four Separate Panels. Set of four lunar maps created by Underwood from photography from Lunar Orbiter 3, which took pictures from February 15-23, 1967, confirming safe landing sites for the Apollo program. Underwood helped create these maps with the assistance by the Army Map Service, measure 16 x 43" and printed on RC paper (a plasticized paper). It appears these were greatly reduced for printing by the Department of Defense on A 12 x 32" sheet identified as Apollo Lunar Orbit Chart (ALO) 1st and 10th Revolutions, 21 December, 1968 Launch Date which is also included. The four panels are in overall fine condition with just scattered creases. There are some hand notations. The paper lunar surface map shows evidence of insect damage on one end and some minor edge tears.
Comes with LOA by Underwood family. Estimated Value $500 - UP
