Apollo Space Suit: Detachable Data Checklist Pocket Assembly Strapped Onto the Outer Lower Legs While on the Lunar Surface. A fine Apollo era artifact, a detachable pocket assembly that was strapped to the shins of the space suit, the exact location determined by the crewmember. These pouches contained operations checklists and data checklist items easily accessed. However, these assemblies if necessary were also used as contingent lunar surface sample containers. An information sheet conveys with this lot that has an image of "Jack" Schmitt of Apollo 17 having strapped two on his suit, one on each leg, while removing a rock sample from the surface. Also a diagram pointing to all the parts on the exterior of a space suit is included which identifies the pocket assemblies. 9 x 7 x 2". A sponge has been placed inside pouch to maintain shape. Part No. A7LB-201156-01. Estimated Value $2,500 - UP

Realized $2,100
