Russian Lacquer Boxes: Four Gorgeous Seasonal, Wintry Scenes Including a Fantastic Russian Santa "Ded Moroz" and Snowman. Four terrific Russian lacquer boxes that certainly convey the Holiday or wintry scenes. 1.) Great box of a Russian Santa, "Ded Moroz" or some artistic cross between the two because there is no tall staff and in red and blue. Nevertheless a wonderful decoupage beautifully enhanced with hand painted gilt gold, red and green. 1¼ x 4 x 3" from the Russia Collection founded in 1991 to preserve Russian art. 2.) Two boxes with a troika of horses, pulling a sleigh, the drivers in blue which hint at the traditional "Ded Moroz". Beautiful gilt gold enhancements to both: 1¼ x 6½ x 3¼" and 1¼ x 4 x 3" this one also made by the co-operative, The Russia Collection. 3. Finally a miniature fully hand painted box of couple in a sleigh being pulled by horses, each clearly in Holiday apparel. 1 x 2 x 3" and a marvelous miniature work. All four boxes mint.
