Coca-Cola: Rare, Antique "Exhibition Girl" Oval Serving Tray in Excellent Condition from 1909. From 1909, an excellent example of the oval "Exhibition Girl" serving tray manufactured by the H.D. Beech Company. This is the 13 x 10¾" tray similar in image to the 1909 calendar which has two additional large paper lanterns. Serving tray has cola beans and foliate design decorating the perimeter and framing the very appealing image of a woman enjoying a glass of Coca-Cola. The background shows a large gondola, illuminated boats, lanterns in the distance and gorgeously lit buildings. Historical context was ultimately found in error and evidently this is not the St. Louis World's Fair. Tray is an outstanding find and exhibits only the most minor evidence of wear and very light scuffing. This 110 year old piece would prove a significant addition to any collection and is one of the best trays in the auction. Estimated Value $1,800 - UP
From The Private Collection of James Harrison Ring.
