Handsome Antique British Walking Cane with Sterling Silver (950) and Gilt Gold Eagle Shaped Handle with Faceted Red Stone Eyes. Handsome early 20th Century walking cane with a striking handle of an elongated eagle's head. Stamped 950 Britannia Silver with British makers mark, eagle boasts some fine detailing in the gold gilt feathers, the beak and around the faceted red stone eyes. Handle is secured to wood staff with a silver banded ring with a tied bow detail. In fine condition we note only minor wear to gilt atop eagle's head where gripped the most. Otherwise the ebonized wood staff and silver tip are in excellent condition. True elegance from a time long past. Length 33" and eagle grip 3" in width. Estimated Value $500 - UP
