Anderson, Bill (William Maxwell) Anderson Watercolor. "Venice Beach". (1941-) Southern California artist who has enjoyed decades of acclaim and popularity for his vibrant watercolors of California life. Whether it be sports, landscapes or popular culture Anderson has always had a colorful eye for the movement and energy of any subject. From 2004, and one of his popular subject is "Venice Beach" here Anderson captures the pulse, color and excitement of the street performers who entertain throngs of beach goers on the various boardwalks. Anderson has signed in lower left corner but also on verso. Measuring 30 x 23" the work is in mint condition, painted on heavy stock and a knockout. Estimated Value $800 - UP
