Lot 635

1793 S-9 R2 Wreath Cent with Vine & Bars Edge PCGS AU50, CAC Approved. Very attractive frosty tan and light brown blending to darker steel brown on the highpoints of the devices. The surfaces are smooth and virtually flawless. The best identifying marks, and they are microscopic, are a tiny tick under the left foot of the B in LIBERTY and a pinprick between the N & I in UNITED. MDS, Breen state VII, with die cracks on the bottom of the reverse. Struck slightly off center to K-10 leaving some of the border beads tight to the edge of the planchet. A beautiful 1793 Wreath Cent, about as perfect as you could expect for a lightly worn early copper. Our grade is VF35+, close to EF40, and Choice. Perfect for a date or type set of problem-free coins. Pop 7; 24 finer at PCGS. Value $35,000 - UP
