1842 Second Restrike Breen 1-C R7- PCGS graded Proof-64 Brown. Reverse of 1840. Light olive and steel brown. Sharply struck and essentially flawless except for some unevenness on the rim at the bottom of the obverse, apparently lightly smoothed there to eliminate a minor planchet flaw or wire rim. There is a tiny planchet clip over AT in STATES, as struck. Our grade is Proof-60. PCGS population 2; 1 finer in 66. Value $7,500 - UP
