1795 C-1 R2 Lettered Edge PCGS AU Detail, Environmental Damage. A very sharp and attractive half cent but the reverse is covered with uniform very fine granularity effectively hidden under the glossy olive brown toning. The obverse is perfectly smooth and very choice. The only mark is a thin diagonal nick or planchet chip left of the bottom of the eye. Sharply struck EDS, Manley state 1.0, without any trace of a bulge at AME in AMERICA. The obverse fields are very slightly reflective and the eye appeal of that side is outstanding. Our grade is AU55 sharpness net EF45. The attribution and Widok Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label (PCGS # 35067) Value $7,000 - UP
