Lot 275

1852 N-3 R1. PCGS graded MS-65 Red & Brown. CAC. Lustrous mint red fading to light steel brown on the highpoints with about 70% of the red remaining visible. Satiny mint frost covers this cent and the eye appeal is outstanding. The only marks are a faint vertical scuff right of the nostril, a fine hairline hidden in the dentils at star 13, and a small puff of slightly darker toning nestled between star 12 and the dentils. MDS, die state b. There is a fine die crack from the dentils through TE in UNITED to the wreath. The reverse is rotated 45 degrees CCW, which is normal for this die state. A beautiful cent. Our grade is MS64+, CC#2 in the Grellman census. The attribution and Great Pacific Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; 1 finer in 66RB. (PCGS # 147236) Value $1,750 - UP
