W.WYON R A in small raised letters on truncation, date below. Reverse; Crowned square topped shield of arms within branches, floral ornament below. BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF: Edge lettering incusely inscribed DECUS ET TUTAMEN ANNO REGNI VIII with cinquefoil recessed stops. Brilliant mint state and sharply struck with a very light golden peripheral toning. This is a date in the Victorian Crown series which is almost impossible to locate in Mint State grades. NGC graded MS-62. Estimate Value $4,500 - 5,000
