Sale 110

Lot 1169

1882. PCGS graded MS-65. A lovely gem example with golden toning and reflective fields. Only 1,500 struck, and this is one of the finer examples seen today. The strike is sharp and the surfaces are an absolute delight to study, with gem satin finish and nearly free of any bagmarks. This issue has always been in high demand forthe low mintage date. All examples struck for circulation have the 2 in the date repunched high. Seldom seen this nice, let alone any finer. Pop 6; 6 finer, 3 in 66, 1 in 66+, 2 in 67. (PCGS # 8004) Estimate Value $15,000 - 17,000

Realized $15,600
