Lot 1020

1829 Capped Bust Half Dollar. AU-58. A beautiful coin that boasts deep blue around the edge, and bright white luster elsewhere. Clean surfaces for the grade.
An interesting die state here, the obverse crack is present from the tenth and eleventh star to the lower curls, and the stars are drawn towards the dentils. On the reverse, all the arrow shafts are broken from die lapping, and the diagnostics have changed with the eagle's claw ending just above the right tip of the serif of C (on early die state coins, this claw extends past the left side of the serif, and the arrow shafts are sharp). One for the specialist.
Estimated Value $150 - 200.
