1918-D, 8 over 7. NGC graded AU-55. Popular key date with the overdate feature sharp and clear. A few minor circulation marks can be seen with a loupe, but these are not distracting. This is one of the toughest Buffalo nickels to find in high grade, as not many were issued, and most of those seen are in far lower grades. A hint of light tone enhances the already strong eye appeal. Pop 16; 70 finer at NGC. Estimate Value $14,000 - 15,000
