1797 C-3a R3 VG10+. The "Low Head" variety with a Plain Edge. Choice glossy medium brown and light chocolate. The surfaces are smooth and the eye appeal is excellent for the grade. Close to F12. The only notable mark, and it is barely visible with a glass, is a tiny planchet crack on the rim above the cap (as struck). EDS, Manley state 1.0, with a dull die crack from the chin into the field to the right. A very nice example of the "Low Head" variety. Weight 86.2 grains. Estimate Value $700 - UP
