1794 S-64 R5- No Fraction Bar VF30. Sharpness AU50 but covered with microscopic roughness. No verdigris and only a few minor marks including a collection of barely visible hairline scratches in the field before the neck and a small rim nick left of the O in OF. The edge of the planchet over OF is beveled (as struck). Rather frosty steel brown and light chocolate with subtle hints of bluish steel overtone in protected areas. EDS, Breen state I, before the die crack through D in UNITED. The "Missing Fraction Bar" feature is obvious. Removed from a PCGS slab graded AU50 (PCGS label #1365.50/8428118).
