Exquisite 18K White Gold Original Art Deco Diamond and Sapphire Link Bracelet From the Historic Galt & Bros. Jewelry Company In Washington DC. An exceptionally fine 18K white gold, original art deco bracelet. Bracelet was purchased from the historic Galt & Bros. Jewelry Company in Washington DC. It remains the oldest business which enjoyed continuous operation for almost 200 years when it opened its doors in 1802. Customers included Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln through to John F. Kennedy. In fact, Edith Bolling Galt, who took over the operations of the store from her first husband (who died in 1908) married Woodrow Wilson in 1915. From this legendary jewelry store ca. 1920s we are pleased to offer this stunning diamond link bracelet containing approximately two (2) carats of old European cut and single cut diamonds with the connecting links having French trumpet faceted blue sapphires including the clasp. Bracelet is 7¼" in length and ½" wide. and weighs 30 grams. This is easily one of the nicest, authentic pieces of jewelry from the popular art deco period.
