1845 N-8 R1 PCGS Unc Details Cleaning. Mellowing red fading to light olive brown and steel with a third of the fading mint color remaining. Great eye appeal but a glass reveals faint hairlines from a very light cleaning on the obverse. The only marks are a faint spot of darker toning in the middle of the jawline and a light nick on the chin. The reverse is flawless. Sharply struck VEDS (very early die state) with hard, slightly reflective fields on both sides. Our grade is MS60. Comes with an impressive provenance. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $400 - UP
