1807 S-271 R1 Small Fraction PCGS Genuine XF Detail Environmental Damage. Attractive mostly glossy medium chocolate brown. Looks really nice and smooth to the unaided eye but a strong glass reveals the surfaces are covered with microscopic granularity. No verdigris and only trivial contact marks, none notable. EDS, Breen state II. There are clearly defined die clashmarks on the obverse but the "Comet" break in the field behind the head is just a very faint depression from die clashing. Our grade is VF30 sharpness net VF20. Estimate Value $500 - UP
