Hadrian. Æ Sestertius (24.47 g), AD 117-138. Rome, ca. AD 134-138. HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P, laureate and draped bust of Hadrian right. Reverse: ADVENTVI AVG IVDAEAE, S C in exergue, emperor standing right, raising hand, facing Judaea standing left, sacrificing out of patera over altar and holding cup; at her feet, two children, each holding a palm branch; at foot of altar, sacrificial bull. RIC 890f; BMC 1659; Hendin 1604. Rare. Although struck on a porous planchet, the reverse detail is bold. Fair / Very Fine. Estimate Value $800 - 900
