Nov 13, 1930 American Legion Convention International Flight Carried on DO-X From Europe to U.S.A., Was Not Carried on "Cape Cod" Flight. Harms #15. USA/DR var, Cover did not continue on world record flight from New York to Istanbul, franked with both German stamps & USA stamp. Covers bearing the two line 'Cape Cod" Istanbul handstamp flew on the record flight. This cover did not continue the journey and flew only on the DO-X. Bordpost cancel is Jan 30, 1931. Very fine.
