1988 America in Space Commemorative Bronze, Silver and Gold Set in Original Case/COA by US Mint. Issued in 1988 by the U.S. Mint, this rarely offered set comprises of three medals/medallions: one in bronze, one in silver and one in gold. The Shuttle in flight is in gold weighs 8.4 grams and is 90% gold 4.2% silver, and the balance copper. The silver coin, much larger of Astronaut with US flag is 26 ¾ grams and is 90% silver 10% copper. The bronze space shuttle is 25 grams and 90% copper and 10% zinc.
