Partial autograph letter signed "A Conan Doyle," 3½ x 4¼", no place, no date. To an unidentified correspondent, four lines with closing and signature: "over Mrs. Phelps…you had a day to spare you would give us great joy by coming down to us. Very many thanks for the book just received. I promise myself a treat tomorrow. Yours very truly A Conan Doyle." Uneven upper edge, else fine. Accompanied by a postcard photo.
