Lot 480

Exceptionally Fine 1948 Flint (Chicago) Cutlery Set In Original Wood Case with Papers. A culinary blast from the past. An exceptionally fine carving set in superior presentation condition from 1948. This set appears to have only been used once just by the very light scratches visible. This was made by Flint, a division of EKCO Products Company of Chicago. Wood presentation box is near to mint condition as is the deep red fabric lining inside. Remarkably, the original brochures are inside and again in near to mint condition. One is a set of instructions on keeping your "Flint hollow ground carving set sharp and beautiful." The other has to be one of the most unusual celebrity endorsements, by Edward Arnold, courtesy of MGM Pictures and star of DIAMOND JIM BRADY and MR. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON, giving carving instruction for a variety of fowl and cuts of meat. Estimate Value $100 - UP

Realized $64
