Judaica Collection: Two Sterling Silver Pieces: Sculpture of Girl At Her Bat Mizvah & A Relief by Arieh Nerzer, Plus Holy Land Pressed Flowers. A lovely collection of Judaic art. 1.) A charming sterling silver sculpture with 14k gold wash highlights of a young girl reading the Torah at her Bat Mitzvah. Stands 4½ x 2 x 2", stamped sterling silver, boasting 2¼ ozt. 2.) a very handsome sterling silver relief by acclaimed Israeli artist, Arieh Merzer (1905-1966) of a rabbi giving a toast over a bottle of wine with beautiful details in the high relief and mounted on polished panel. (a small personalized anniversary plaque was removed below the art by request of the consignor) Relief is 7 x 3" mounted to 12 x 6" panel. 3.) From 1910 Flowers and Views of the Holy Land, Jerusalem, consisting of 12 chromolithographs depicting various places in The Holy Land, with pressed flowers from the same area mounted on to each facing plate in an attractive binding of olive wood with beveled edges, and the title on the front cover is surrounded by a geometric border inlaid into the wood. In very fine condition, one of the better examples we have seen. Estimate Value $500 - UP
