Historic Hotels, 9 Vintage and Antique Pieces -- The Waldorf, The Fairmont, The Savoy & More. Fine collection of vintage or antique pieces from legendary 20th Century hotels that defined a period of elegant accommodations when traveling. 1.) A brass advertising ashtray with Oberst Cigarettes and the Waldorf-Astoria in high relief (1906-1920). The original Waldorf-Astoria, two buildings, were situated on Astor family properties along Fifth Avenue, opened in 1893 and was demolished in 1929 to make way for the construction of the Empire State Building. Ashtray is missing clip that held cigarette pack. 2.) From the Astor Hotel an antique Art Nouveau blue majolica calling card dish, NYC 3.) Savoy Hotel, Dusseldorf key and fob that actually has provenance coming from Jefferson Airplane founder and lead singer, Marty Bolin and is so tagged on verso. 3.) A vintage early 20th Century printed silk and wood hand fan from the Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco atop Nob Hill. 4.) 1920s era dish from the historic, Multnomah Hotel Portland, Oregon, one of the most famous on the entire West Coast. The balance are paperweights from The Clarendon, Sea Breeze, Florida, The Stanford Court, Nob Hill, The Belvedere Hotel, Baltimore, Maryland and an original fob from the Vendome Hotel, Indiana.
