Band of Brothers Member Sgt. Wild Bill Guarnere--Signed Photo of D-Day Parachute Drop (1923-2014) U.S. Army soldier who fought in World War II with Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. He wrote Brothers in Battle, Best of Friends: Two WWII Paratroopers from the Original Band of Brothers Tell Their Story with his friend Edward "Babe" Heffron and journalist Robyn Post in 2007. In the 2001 HBO miniseries "Band of Brothers," Guarnere was portrayed by Frank John Hughes. Guarnere received the Silver Star for combat during the Brecourt Manor Assault on D-Day, and later received two Bronze Stars and two Purple Hearts.

Photo of a D-Day parachute drop signed "Wild Bill Guarnere / Co. E 506 101st / Band of Brothers," 8 x 10". There are a couple of scratches and a number from the plate at lower right. Framed to 11½ x 9¾". Some 13,000 paratroopers from the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions were dropped into France early on June 6, 1944, as the opening maneuver of Operation Neptune, which was the assault operation for Operatio Overlord.
