Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 104

Lot 1519

1929-D. PCGS graded MS-66. Pop 71; 6 finer, 4 in 66+, 2 in 67. A nice white coin with abundant luster and a sharp strike. Liberty's thumb is fairly sharp and well outlined, and the eagle's feather tips are all sharp. What's really amazing is how clean the surfaces are as so many of this date and mint fall well short of the glistening, undisturbed fields and devices present here. A tough issue to find this sweet, and worthy of a strong bid (PCGS # 6589) Estimate Value $3,700 - 3,900

Realized $3,240
