Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 103

Lot 1634

1800. PCGS graded Details of About Uncirculated damage. Lovely natural antique rose toning on both sides. The "damage" is a minor mark on the reverse shield right near the top. A very attractive looking early eagle otherwise and despite the shield nick, quite pleasing. Not only is this a scarce type coin, but the 1800 date is quite scarce when compared to the more plentiful 1799 or 1801 coins found in comparative abundance. This 1800 eagle would make a good representative of this prized date and type (PCGS # 8563) Estimate Value $7,000 - 7,500

Realized $7,931
