Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 100

Lot 1454

1925-S. PCGS graded MS-62. Frosty and untoned. This is a typical San Francisco Mint issue, where virtually the entire mintage was melted in the 1930s, leaving approximately 800 pieces known today in all grades. This one has strong luster and a good strike. The surfaces are pleasing with scattered minor nicks, but no copper specks stand out. A popular date and mint, and a coin which will stand tall in any advanced collection of Saint-Gaudens gold coins (PCGS # 9182) Estimate Value $8,500 - 9,000

Realized $8,813
