Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 100

Lot 1267

1852. PCGS graded AU-58. Lovely orange toning on both sides. Scarce this well preserved, especially for an early Type 1 Twenty. Most of these large and impressive gold coins were simply too much wealth to set aside and save, representing weeks of labor for most workers of this era. An exciting example struck quite early in the heady days of the Gold Rush (PCGS # 8906) Estimate Value $3,200 - 3,400

Realized $4,348
