1881. PCGS graded Proof 64 Deep Cameo. CAC. PQ. A wonderful Gem Deep Cameo proof example with bold contrast and glorious surfaces. The strike is bold throughout. As the $3 denomination waned, production for circulation strikes became quite limited by the time 1881 rolled around. Proof coinage continued as collectors tried to complete their date sets and this cpoin has been carefully saved since its time of issue.
